Muscle building…is it for everyone?

This is the most hotly debated issue in a fitness centre or a gym. Most people start working out by procrastinating.
Some say that just want to lose some flab, some say they just want to show off their biceps, other say they don’t want a ‘bulky’ body; they just want to stay fit.
What you need to know is, you need a little muscle, a little strength and a little endurance. All of us need a little muscle to be honest; otherwise we’d all lose bone density pretty quickly.
So, what you need to know today is a little muscle never hurt anyone. But, what you need to know is muscle can be built naturally, without steroids, frankly, you need to be disciplined for a big part of your life, you will never be able to become a professional bodybuilder, but yes, you can do it. Do you need to do it? Not at a scale as big as bodybuilding, but do it to help you in your day-to-day life, to improve your posture, increase your resting metabolic rate, lose fat faster, to enhance your sex life, to reduce risk of diseases rising from structural deformities which happen due to lack of muscle.
Why not do it before getting stuck with a life-altering disease? Gain some muscle before it, rather than use medicines and try to gain some to get your life back to normal. Why later? Why not now?
Don’t do bodybuilding, just grow enough muscle that can improve the quality of your life!
Stop procrastinating, the time is here, the time is now, if you don’t have time, make some, remember you are doing this for yourself, not for someone else. No side effects, plus you get a daily dose of dopamine (healthy hormones).
But, please, oh please, do it with a knowledgeable, certified trainer, not someone who looks good because of his/her body, you need to make your own body, not the trainer’s, choose someone who can take care of you.
Of course, if the trainer is good looking, aesthetic, it is a plus point, but that does not change your goals, nor how you should be approaching them. Be smart, don’t hire a model to become a trainer!
